Without even dancing well, a man who has the confidence to get on the dance floor is way ahead of his peers, I’d say 40-60% of men at clubs never have the balls to step on the dance floor. So if you’re out there, you’re already way ahead of those dudes with their back on the walls clutching their drinks. (What is this -middle school?) Now I’m not here to judge, I’m here to help and am just sharing my experience.
I’ve received many comments on my youtube.com/ClubDanceLessons Channel where people say dancing is something you have naturally or you don’t… and that you can’t learn to have rhythm and feel the groove.
These comments are complete BULLSHIT. Rhythm CAN be learned, and ANYONE can improve their body control and coordination. In 10 years of teaching I’ve seen hundreds of the most uncoordinated people in the world and I can honestly say every single one of them improved.
The most common question students ask is: “How long will it take me to get good dancing?”. My answer is : “It depends on how good you are now, how fast you learn, how much you want to learn, how often you take lessons, and how much you practice on your own.

Our ego tries to keep us safe and content. To keep us safe often times it discourages us from trying new things and making changes in our lives. It keeps you from trying new things and from looking bad which is a vicious cycle because if you don’t try new things you’ll never grow and you won’t look bad but you also will never look good. It encourages us to keep doing what we’ve been doing forever. You might have heard the saying, “if you keep on doing what you’ve always done, you’ll keep on getting what you’ve always got.”
